CLUB UNIFORM AND RANKING SYSTEM

GRADING

To ensure and maintain the quality in the instruction and skill of our members, Black Lion Wing Chun has a formalised grading structure. This also assists Sifu to keep track of which
stage in the system students are working on, providing them with goals to strive for, and a way to track their own progress.

Gradings are held every 4 to 6 months, or as needed. Students’ progress through the system at a pace set by their own effort and dedication.
 

Gradings are a flat fee of $40, this Includes rank sash/tie,

1 on 1 feedback with Sifu Nick and a certificate. Failed grading attempts can be reset at a later date with no additional cost.

UNIFORM

It is expected students wear their uniform during class. This includes a club T-shirt provided/ordered upon sign-up and any comfortable plain black pants, tights, or shorts with little to no branding, logos, or markings.

​

Additionally students can purchase a more traditional Kung Fu Uniform that is plain black. Many of us use the Yamasaki brand.

Patches to sew onto the uniform are available for purchase in class along with hoodies and other Black Lion merch.
